Echoes of a Life transforms that hesitation into a shared sigh of relief. We gather everyone's attention for a dedicated 30 minutes right at the beginning of the wake. Our focus is placed entirely on the magic of the spoken word. We perform carefully crafted, live poetry that mirrors your loved one's true essence—painting their daily choices, unique laughter, and lifetime milestones in vibrant, comforting colors.
As the poetry fills the air, a live, underlying sonic tapestry cradles every sentence. This soft musical accompaniment never distracts; it simply acts as a gentle heartbeat beneath the words. Moving completely in sync with the performance, sympathetic video imagery drifts softly across the screens. An opening poem capturing the small, beautiful details of daily life—their favorite chair, a standard catchphrase, or how they made a cup of tea. Accompanied by sympathetic visual loops of morning light filtering through leaves.

Poetry tied deeply to the places they loved best, from a quiet country garden to windswept coastlines. Complemented by gentle cinematic imagery of moving rivers and soft, undulating tides.

Folllwing a traditional religious or celebrant service, Echoes of a Life offers a completely unique extension to the experience. We do not just read from a standard template. Instead, we transform personal memories into an immersive, 30-minute living performance right at the beginning of the wake.
Think of a traditional service like a beautiful, classic photograph. It is respectful, still, and clear. Our live poetry centerpiece is more like a rich, cinematic tapestry. We blend bespoke spoken word, lush live musical accompaniment, and serene, flowing video loops into a single, seamless environment.
We don't replace the formal funeral service. Instead, we beautifully lift the heavy, awkward silence that often fills the room when guests first arrive at a wake. We gently bring everyone’s focus together, invite the room to breathe, and give your family permission to smile, share stories, and heal. It is a premium, heartfelt dedication—delivered with absolute care, complete transparency, and zero hidden costs.

Whichever level is best for you and your family, rest assured that our respectful approach will take place seamlessly so that you and youir family can focus on what's most important to you. We handle everything discretely. We bring our own compact audio gear for our underlying sound accompaniment, and easily connect our sympathetic video media to the venue's existing screens via a simple plug-and-play setup. Alternately we can bring our own 32 inch video screen at a small additional fee of £50.
We usually work within a 1 hour car travelling distance from North West London and this is included in the prices quoted. Please contact us if you are further than this to see if we can accomodate you.

Descended from writers E.F. Benson and Fredrich von Schiller, Alice masterfully weaves tales of shadow and light, offering a performance that is both hauntingly beautiful and profoundly moving.
